The literature review included in Section 2 of the Meta-analysis report reflects the socio-cultural framing of the research. ‘Context’, ‘arena’ and ‘setting’ are explored drawing on Lave (1988), Wenger (1998) and Rogoff (1985).

Other areas of the literature review in the Meta-analysis report focus on:

  • the curriculum context and children’s use of ICT outside school (at home)
  • aspects of ICT use including access, patterns and purposes of ICT use
  • e-safety
  • social justice issues, and
  • the concept on innovative pedagogies
